About us

Welcome to The Datchet Players!

We are a group of amateur theatricals who have been putting on productions for nearly 65 years in the village. It was founded in 1959 by five initial members and the first play produced in 1960 and put on at Churchmead school.  In 1967 we moved to Datchet Village after it was built on land donated by a Datchet Player.

Our favorite performances always put a smile on our audiences' face, a tear in their eye, and at least a chuckle or two. But most of all we always aim to entertain both our cast members and loyal audience in our spiritual home of the village hall on Allen Way.

We pride ourselves on the quality and high standard of our productions and actors, don't believe us?

We rehearse on Mondays and Thursdays and try to put on two major performances per year, usually April and November. We are always welcoming new members whether on or off stage! If you love to act, enjoy a good set build, lighting or sound design, or are denying your inner director or simply want to meet new people please feel free to contact us.

We are affiliated to NODA.
